In this video, I show you how to connect the Hauppauge HD PVR (model 1212) to your HDTV, your game console and record the gameplay footage on your Mac with EyeTV 3.1 in HD! Again, just to be clear, the HD PVR comes with software for Windows. It does not come with software for OSX. There are two known applications that work with the HD PVR under Mac OSX. EyeTV 3.1 & HDPVRCAPTURE. Links are below. Note: The HDPVRCAPTURE application was written by one of the hardware devs that created the HD …

Ok i have a mac laptop and a 360…. non of the cables or software, how much do you think ill be spending on all of it?
I think weird, im lookin to buy one now and u commented on this lmfao
6′. Watch my HD PVR Q&A video for frequently asked questions.
i was wondering, how long is the usb cable?
Did you watch the video? I mentioned what you are asking. Also, check out the HD PVR Q&A I did a couple of days ago.
Is there any way you can set this up for the ps3?? and will it work the same or set up the same??
I think You’re welcome. I have several videos on the HD PVR so check them out also if you haven’t already. Good luck!
Thanks man, I’ve been having trouble with my slingbox pro as well, its just a disaster to use. Good guide, I am going to pick up a Hauppauge off Amazon prolly and I will follow your guide. Slingbox can kiss my #@%
Thanks
I think thankz boi
I think I’ve got a PS3 sending a 1080p 60hz signal via HDMI to my 55″ TV which outputs a 1080p 120hz video (it just makes it look like 120hz). My Questions are: can I send a 1080p 60hz signal from my PS3 with a component cable? Or is that only supported by HDMI? Can send a 1080p 60hz signal to my TV to play on and a 1080i (donno what hz) to my computer to record? Or do I have to play in 720p/1080i and record in 720p/1080i?
Thanks, HDPVRCapture was exactly what I was looking for to record on my Mac! Thanks a bunch, so much cheaper than EyeTV!
do you have to have a mac
I think I just got my HD PVR, when I put my my component cables from my xbox to the component in and then component out to my TV, I get no signal. Then when I try to see if eyeTV will recognize the stream, it says “no signal”…
anything I could have done wrong? do you have to open up the video pass through before you can get it to do that? or is it possible that I got a bad one
can u still capture with pinnacle and render it with it and also with sony vegas???
I think Good question!!!
Better motion during fast moving scenes. Smaller file sizes. Less demanding to edit and playback.
Why 720p as opposed to 1080i?
does this work with sony vegas 9.0
if you don’t know the answer to that, setting up the Hauppage isnt for you lol
I think Thanks! I shoot with the Canon HF10.
I don’t use Windows, but I’m sure you can.
good camera quality man
what camera you using? oh and quick question, can you install the arcsoft software on more than 1 computer?
no……. use component
Okay. Im confused. My PS3 doesnt use regular AV cables to connect it to the TV. I dont even know where the AV cables are for it to be honest. It uses an HDMI cable. Is there an input on the back of the Hauppauge 1212 for the HDMI? Because i didnt see one.
I think im using eyetv, i tried first with hd pvr capture but i dont know why i cant get any signal from there..
In EyeTV it works, but as i told u, just for 2-3 mins and then the signal stops…
ok well u gave us the demo of the HDPVR Capture so i can only record for 2 minutes lol and were do i get eye tv 3.1 i go to the site and theres no dowload
Did you watch the video?
